The Great LA River Clean-Up
Our rivers and oceans need your help now more than ever! Check out the ABC News report on the work of the Algalita Marine Research Foundation and the amount of plastic debris that travel through waterways like the L.A. River and end up in our oceans!
The Great LA River CleanUp takes place on two days at many different sites along the mighty LA River and its tributaries. It begins with River School Day on Friday in April 24th, at Fletcher Drive in Atwater Village and continues two weeks later on a Saturday in May 9th at 11 different sites.
Select among the different regions (San Fernando Valley, Northeast LA--Glendale Narrows, Pasadena, Southeast LA County, Long Beach) for additional information, including maps, directions, and site specifics.
