About us

The FAITH/ACTIVISM COLLECTIVE is working to create a space for young Christians seeking to integrate their faith and spiritual practice with their commitment to justice, equality, and dignity for all people-regardless of ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, religion, or citizenship. We want young people to reconnect with the roots of the faith that exemplify solidarity with and compassion towards the most vulnerable in society and dedicate ourselves to the struggle for justice at any cost.

Men and women in our history have embodied this prophetic vision of Christianity. People like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Dorothy Day, Archbishop Oscar Romero, Sojourner Truth, Mother Teresa, and Archbishop Desmond Tutu lived at complete variance with the version of Christianity that represented the religious leadership of their time. They have inspired us all to discover a faith that strengthens and sustains us to confront all forms of injustice, economic oppression, and racial discrimination.

The FAITH/ACTIVISM COLLECTIVE seeks to build a movement of the emerging faith activists on college campuses, churches, and in other social networks. We accomplish this by providing students and non-students with opportunities in theological reflection, education, advocacy, networking, and community organizing.
