Inland Empire Chapter

Fires

Hello Everyone! It’s been a trying time for everyone in the Los Angeles area.

As I’m sure everyone knows, the fires have been devastating for countless families throughout the Los Angeles Area. If you would like to help, there are a number of resources available. Below are some of the easiest to reach:

American Red Cross: Cash donations can be made through www.redcross.org or through a local Red Cross chapter. Volunteers also are needed. In San Bernardino, their evacuation site is at the National Orange Show Fairgrounds, 590 S Arrowhead Ave, Gate #7. Donations of clothing can be made at Goodwill locations. Information: (800) REDCROSS or (800) 257-7575 for Spanish speakers.

Governor’s Office of Emergency Services: Businesses wishing to donate large quantities of goods for distribution to fire victims can call (800) 750-2858 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Pacific time. Individuals wanting to donate items or volunteer to help with local disaster response efforts should contact the Red Cross or go to the governor’s CaliforniaVolunteers website at www.californiavolunteers.org

Within the Inland Empire Itself, there are a number of hotels who have taken in evacuees, and report needing assistance. If you are willing to “adopt” the residents of a motel or give aid in any specific way, please notify Mark Paternostro, from Hope Force International, at Let him know which one(s) you will serve and after speaking to him you can make contact & assess & write an email to get additional help for you to respond.
